Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Associate IAM Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team. This is a "fresher" friendly role designed for someone eager to build a career in Identity and Access Management (IAM). You will focus on managing user identities, troubleshooting access issues, and supporting our Okta environment to ensure secure and seamless access for our global workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • User Lifecycle Management: Assist in the automated and manual onboarding, offboarding, and role changes (Joiner-Mover-Leaver) within Okta.
  • Access Support: Act as the first point of contact for Okta-related issues, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) resets and Single Sign-On (SSO) troubleshooting.
  • Application Integration: Help integrate new SaaS applications into the Okta dashboard using pre-built connectors.
  • Group Management: Maintain and audit Okta groups and rules to ensure users have the correct level of access.
  • Monitoring: Monitor Okta system logs for suspicious activity and report anomalies to the senior security team.

Technical Requirements & Skills
  • Foundational Knowledge: Basic understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) concepts.
  • Okta Familiarity: Exposure to the Okta platform (academic projects, internships, or self-study) is highly preferred.
  • Directory Services: Basic understanding of Active Directory (AD) or LDAP.
  • Networking Basics: Familiarity with how the web works (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and browsers).
  • Security Mindset: A strong interest in cybersecurity and protecting digital identities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Interest in pursuing or currently holding an Okta Certified Professional or CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Scripting: Basic knowledge of Python or PowerShell is a plus for future automation tasks.

Soft Skills
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to break down technical issues and find logical solutions.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills for documentation and user support.
  • Trainability: A high desire to learn complex security protocols like SAML and OIDC on the job.
